Everyone is radically different but from what I can tell paleo is really opposite then the eating for ibs diet,for me the only way I can eat is basing each meal off of bread or rice and building from there, I don't eat whole grains, but I do rice and wheat and potatoes I need that as a base before I add any so called ancestral foods like veggies, fruit or animal proteins, paleo is almost worse then low carb in some ways, some folks feel better without wheat and I can understand that, bit to me nothing soothes my tum on a rough day like cream of rice cereal and that is not on a paleo list for sure, I personally believe that ibs diet is very inclusive of healthy foods, if you can work your way up to the full extant of it, but it's the soluable fiber base that makes it possible
