The paleo diet is not an IBS friendly diet. The NHS considers to be fad diet with no particular advantage except perhaps for weight loss.

I have given up all whole grains, I am stable and I have normal BMs. Whole grains are not necessary to have good BM. Whole grains can cause colon spasms producing D or C. Removing whole grains can make a big difference particularly if you have IBS-D.
