I made bread without dairy in my machine today and I plan to make french toast with leftovers tomorrow morning. This morning he was doubled over in pain after a bowl of corn flakes with soy smoothie and banana on top. We missed Church because of it. I don't know if the combination was too much for him to handle. My son's doctor is trying to work with us to solve his stomach pain. We see his doctor next month, but he wants my son off of all dairy to see if it helps. The doctor isn't too convinced it is IBS causing his pain and C, but hasn't ruled it out yet. He loves muffins and toast and I'll have to get up earlier in the mornings to make pancakes and waffles for breakfast. It is well worth it to help him feel better. He had to deal with teasing at school too and I'm sure that hasn't help. Being a nine year he feels it is unfair to have to deal with stomach problems and not eat what everybody else can.
