Many people with IBS have difficulty sleeping. However, the position one sleeps likely has play a small role etiology of IBS.

It is quite common for individuals who live north of the equator to have low levels of vitamin D primarily in the autumn and winter due to lack of exposure to sun. Recently, the recommended daily intake of vitamin D through supplements was increased. Low levels of vitamin D is unrelated to IBS but normal levels of vitamin D always makes one feel better .
