Hello and welcome...

I get a quivering sensation from time to time - but it is not painful - sort of similar to when your muscles do this after a long walk.

Most likely this is normal movement in the intestines and you are just taking notice of it. Most IBS patients do have hyper-sensitivity to things digestive that others without IBS do not notice. As long as you are under a doctor's care and have been diagnosed with IBS, I would not be too concerned about the quivering in terms of medical significance. When it happens to me, I just note it, and that's all - dont try to solve it, etc. For me it does not happen that often - not daily. Everything you are taking does have anti-spasmodic properties.

If it really bothers you, tell your doctor as he can examine you to determine if this is an indication of anything else - once you are reassured (most likely anyway) that nothing else is going on in your intestines, then you can feel a bit more relieved. If the quivering results in pain, or severe D or cramping, then tell your doctor that as well - especially if this is a new development.

But most likely it is normal intestinal contractions of the muscles providing motility and you are just more aware of it. I get that quiver feeling now and then, but it does not hurt nor result in D or continue on for very long. Hope that helps...
