Welcome to the board,

You might find the two references in my signature of interest. They are authoritative sources unlike many of site produced by a Google search which frequent have misinformation. Fructose malabsorption occurs in about 50% of individuals with IBS which is the same rate found in the normal population. SIBO only occurs in about 4% of individuals with IBS and it sometimes cause malabsorption of FODMAPs but not always.
