Just need to vent about the most rediculous series of events this week...
Ok, so I had a colonoscopy scheduled for last March, it kept getting postponed (sometimes by me, most times by the doctor). It was finally scheduled for November.
They called to cancel (again) and was now scheduling for MARCH! An entire year later!! I was upset, so I called and talked to the nurse saying I really shouldn't wait that long with my symptoms.
They call me: "Your doc wants that colonoscopy within a week. With another doctor"
Nope. I'm not switching docs, for those of you that know me, I have a very difficult GI case. Diagnosed with IBS for years--but now have gastroparesis and GERD. Last colonoscopy showed colitis, but biopsies were negative...
I said I wouldn't go to another doc.
They call back and plead.
I still say no.
They call to say my Doc does not recommend I wait.
I said "I know"
Then yesterday they call and say:
"oh, she has some availability now on Oct 26th"
ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?!
Well, moral of the story is it pays to stick to your guns... but talk about doctor drama!!
Now I have to have a colonoscopy in a few weeks. YUCK. And next week I have a ganglion cyst removed from my wrist. What a fun few weeks I'll have!
