Hi,

Have any of you out there feel that exercising, such as sit-ups or stretching the colon, helped relieve pain when going to the bathroom? You see, I have been thinking about doing this, since I don't exercise and my colon seems to act up because of it. I know when I walk, I feel better, but when I sit down, I feel worse. It's not the going to the bathroom I mind so much, but my colon is in more pain when it's time to go. (As a matter of fact, that is the only way I know I have to go.) However, I've been thinking if I exercise the colon, maybe it would "stretch" out and it would not be so painful. My doctor says it wouldn't help, but he is not an expert in IBS.

So if any of you have any experience with exercise helping your colon, let me know. I feel pretty helpless and this is making me miserable. Sometimes I feel so down and poorly that I like to end it all. If anyone has advice, I sure could use it!

Thanks for listening in!
