Irritable Bowel Syndrome Message Boards

I'm currently having a bout of my IBS-D. But, it's nothing new to me (I had my first attack in 94). I think the timing of my diarrhea is strange. I only have it upon waking in the morning. I wake up and start getting my acacia fiber ready and the urgency & cramping take over before I can even get the acacia out of the cabinet! Then I have diarrhea. The diarrhea/urgency sometimes happen again about 5 minutes later, but that hasn't really happened since I started the acacia. I'm up to 1 tbsp of acacia upon waking and 1 tbsp before dinner. For dinner I'm having grilled chicken with pasta. I was having nothing for dessert, but last night I tried having a few nilla wafers before I went to bed to see if that helped (which it didn't).

I don't have any diarrhea during the day. (This bout started about 10 days ago.) All I've been eating since then everyday is corn pops, pretzels, crackers and then my dinner of chicken and pasta. (Although this past weekend the only drink that was available to me at 5pm was soda and I had diarrhea at 7pm.)

Any thoughts/suggestions about the diarrhea upon waking would be wonderful. I also have an anxiety disorder and start shaking as soon as I open my eyes every morning in anticipation of the diarrhea, which I am sure isn't helping.
