Next weekend I am runnig an 170 mile relay that will last about 25 hours. I am not nervois about the running part but soo nervous about my stomach and eating. Usually I do not go on trips at ALL because of IBS. I avoid anything overnight. This time I was like just do it and see how it goes. I guess I am IBS A although I alwasy go to the bathroom at least once a day, I never have true constipation just that crampy feeling. If I were to eat a lot of fruits and insolubles I would get D but it woudl not be easy to pass and almost be more like C. Not sure what that is considered. Anyays I always go to the bathrrom when I wake up. It is hardly ever urgent and it takes me a while to go. If I ate good it will take about 30 min still (is that normal) and will feel complete. If I don't eat good then its just NOT fun. So I plan to eat well the days before the race. HOwever, a half hour in the bathroom is just really embarrassing still. I have always just dealt with this becuase I was at home. ANyone have suggestions of what I can do to either make myself go the night beofer the race, or have an easier bowel movement in the morning. I never tried natural calm, would that maybe help me?
Thank you
