I consider myself stable when it's not on my mind so often. When I can make plans and go out and enjoy life without the initial thought of "what if I get sick"...
That usually happens to me when my attacks are about 3-4 months apart. Only a few attacks a year isn't bad at all, so I can handle that and feel stable. I also notice when they are so spread out, I can recover much faster.
Hope that helps! I know it's different for all of us, but I believe it's really when the emotional side settles down for me and I don't worry as much that I feel the most stable.
