Hello my friends,
I haven't been on this site for a few years because I kind of had my IBS under control. I controlled it by eating IBS safe foods (exceptions made for desserts and taking 1 or 2 imodium per day. This pattern really worked for me with the occasional episode. I was told by my physician during my first pregnancy (my daughter is now 4 years old) that it was safe to take imodium. To make a long story short, I went into labour 3 months early and the reason was unknown!!!!! With complete bed-rest in the hospital she stayed in for an additional 5 weeks and was born a healthy 5.5 lbs. So good news, I'm pregnant again and thrilled I'm not sure whether or not the imodium had anything to do with my early labour, but don't want to take any risks this time around. I've ordered acacia from Heather's store to get back on track naturally and will start listening to those hypnosis CD's that I've been meaning to listen to for the last two years. Does anyone have a similiar story or any advice? I've been off imodium for one week and have had 3 bad days in a row and couldn't teach today. The imodium used to give me the confidence that I wouldn't need to make an emergency trip to the WC. I can't afford to miss work and need to get this under control. I'm also afraid of losing too many nutrients with all the BM's. Help please!!!
