A "just ripe" banana should be okay Some things you just have to try and see if it works.

Actually diary including yogurt is not recommended on Heather's Eating For IBS diet. Although it is low in lactose it still contains a variety of proteins and fats which some people think might be a problem. There is no research to conclusively show this to be the case. However, I have noticed an increase in the number of GI specialists recommending avoiding dairy products at least until you are certain it isn't a trigger for you.

You can get good bacteria or probiotics from a variety of non-yogurt sources.
