LOMOTIL - for anyone taking it and feels that it works, what dosage are you taking?

PECTIN - Does anyone take it specifically and in addition to food sources? In what form? It's said to be a binding agent and found in a number of medical studies to be extremely beneficial for those people suffering diarrhoea by normalising loose stools. www.dietaryfiberfood.com/pectins.php

BANANAS - from http://ibs.about.com/od/diarrhea/tp/Diarrhea-and-Food.--04.htm are also rich in pectin, a soluble fiber that helps to absorb liquid in the intestines and thus move stool along smoothly. Bananas also contain a good amount of inulin, another soluble fiber. Inulin is a prebiotic - a substance that promotes the growth of beneficial bacteria (probiotics) in the intestinal system.

INULIN - what's the deal with this again? Doesn't Heather suggest avoiding it?

ALOE VERA - I've been hearing a lot about this lately...anyone else? I can't decipher if it's best for IBS-D or C?

IBS-D. Or so a doctor says.
