Northwestern University has a table of soluble and insoluble fiber in a variety of foods. Pumpkin has about six times as much insoluble fiber compared to soluble fiber. Roughly speaking 1/2 cup of mashed pumpkin contains 3.6 grams of fiber of which 0.5 grams is soluble fiber and 3.1 grams insoluble fiber. Libby claims 1/2 cup of pumpkin contains 5 grams of fiber. Using the information above it likely contains about 0.7 grams soluble fiber and 4.3 grams of insoluble fiber.

You will probably have to try the pumpkin to see if you can handle it okay.
