Among my typical symptoms are gas, pain, bloating, nausea, heartburn, and reflux. I rarely have cramping. Last night I was awake most of the night with really bad heartburn, and when I finally dozed off, I woke up with sudden, intense cramping in my gut. I passed a lot of gas, and tried to go the bathroom, but nothing. I finally took a peppermint capsule, and about an hour later, my gut was quiet enough to fall back to sleep.
My question is, what could I have eaten that would've triggered this kind of cramping? Here's my diet the last 3 days:
Two TBSP Acacia fiber divided morning and evening Saturday: Heather's blueberry oatmeal with rice milk Plain pasta with touch of olive oil and salt Homemade chicken noodle soup with carrots (with lots of black pepper, which was spicy) Sliced sourdough bread Homemade cinnamin zuccini bread (heather's recipe) Sunday: Heather's blueberry oatmeal with rice milk Honeycombs, rice chex, corn chex Baked potato chips California sushi roll with soy sauce and pickeled ginger Pea and barley soup with white rice and bread Homemade orange cranberry bread (heather's recipe) Monday Heather's blueberry oatmeal with rice milk Egg whites on sourdough bread Smoothie made with mango, peach, strawberry, rice milk Grilled tilapia Quinoa with carrots and peas
