If you read an earlier post of mine you will see that my IBS was triggered by a tragic event in my childhood, not food. However, stress is still my biggest trigger, along with my cycle, but food also plays into it, for whatever reason. If I were you, I would follow the diet, keep a food journal, see what makes you feel good or bad, and follow an exercise/stress reduction program. None of this is going to hurt, but it sure may help.
