Constipation and alcohol       08/22/09 06:17 PM Edit Reply Quote Penney Reged: 08/21/09 Posts: 83 It seems like all of you have IBS-D because you talk about getting "attacks" of D etc. after drinking. I have IBS-C. I do not notice a direct link between drinking and me feeling worse with the IBS, because I have constant constipation, bloating, and gas. It doesn't seem to change if I drink or not (sometimes drinking helps with the constipation actually). So do IBS-C people have to totally eliminate alcohol? Ugh... how do you all cope with all of the changes you have to make because of this.
