Doxycycline is sometimes used to treat post-infection IBS. However, it is usually given in higher doses. A Google search on doxycycline and IBS yields a few comments about it making their IBS worse but these individuals were taking much higher doses. You will likely have to try it in order to determine if it might be a problem for you.
