The SCD diet prohibits many more foods than just complex carbs and sugars. It also restricts canned vegetables, all grains, some legumes, starchy tubers (potatoes, yams, and parsnips), seaweed and seaweed byproducts, canned and most processed meats, dairy products, canola oil, baking powder, commercial nut mixes, balsamic vinegar, and products containing FOS.
It is a difficult diet to follow.
