Just so you know
1. it is hard to figure out new foods to eat when you first start out
2. the diet is not a cure, neither will eating 'safe' foods make you better. The whole idea is to trick your gut into being so soothed it won't act up as much.

For many taking around 2T of acacia a day is where they stabilize. Eating a SF bowl of cereal or oatmeal, SF fruits for snacks, rice or bread or root veg with your lunch and dinner, is a good place to start. The more posts and recipes you read here, the more you will start to get what your average diet should be like.

IBS-A for 20 years with terrible bloating and gas. On the diet since April 2004. Remember this from Heather's information pages:
"You absolutely must eat insoluble fiber foods, and as much as safely possible, but within the IBS dietary guidelines. Treat insoluble fiber foods with suitable caution, and you'll be able to enjoy a wide variety of them, in very healthy quantities, without problem." Please eat IF foods!
