Welcome to the board,

Flaxseed contains about 30% dietary fiber of which 1/3 is soluble fiber and 2/3 insoluble fiber. One tablespoon of ground flaxseed contains about 3.5 grams of fiber of which about 1.2 grams is soluble and 2.3 grams insoluble fiber.

Some people can used ground flaxseed without any problems while others have difficulties with it. It is probably something you will have to experiment with.

Are you IBS-C, IBS-D or IBS-A? If you are IBS-C you may have less problems with flaxseed.
