by refined I mean, white and brown sugar along with HFCS. Of course I'll put a little maple syrup on my pancakes, but ONLY enough to give flavour, not dripping and oozing off my pancakes anymore. I'm not too keen on honey unless its part of baked goods or cereal. Basically, I look at the nutritional label and if it has more than 5g of sugar (for baked goods), I put it back on the shelf.

A lady I just met said that she heard high fructose corn syrup is a diarreah trigger, so shes cut that out of her diet and has noticed a difference too.
