Welcome but sorry to hear about your situation. There are many foods that are IBS safe and GF. In fact whole wheat is terrible for IBS so with that out of the picture it is a good thing! Besides rice there is root veggies like potatoes, or even gnocchi made with alternative flour, cornmeal or corn tortillas or corn bread made with some alternative flour, and there are lots of other grains that are a mix of SF and IF; I'm not an expert at listing them or their fiber content. The problem is in the GF flours and products costing so much more. That is why rice, corn and potatoes are your best bets.

IBS-A for 20 years with terrible bloating and gas. On the diet since April 2004. Remember this from Heather's information pages:
"You absolutely must eat insoluble fiber foods, and as much as safely possible, but within the IBS dietary guidelines. Treat insoluble fiber foods with suitable caution, and you'll be able to enjoy a wide variety of them, in very healthy quantities, without problem." Please eat IF foods!
