I've been too afraid of flax to use it. It is oil and it is IF and it has that extra laxative property. If you try it another time of day with lots of fat free soluble fiber food to buffer the oiliness and IF of it, you could see if that works better and causes no upset. For me morning is the time to try something risky in that I am less volatile then. After lunch and dinner my gut gets gurgly easier. So you won't know if you can do it without another more safe try. BUT is there a good reason to take it at all or do you need it, I mean?

IBS-A for 20 years with terrible bloating and gas. On the diet since April 2004. Remember this from Heather's information pages:
"You absolutely must eat insoluble fiber foods, and as much as safely possible, but within the IBS dietary guidelines. Treat insoluble fiber foods with suitable caution, and you'll be able to enjoy a wide variety of them, in very healthy quantities, without problem." Please eat IF foods!
