I'm not sure how your health care system works in the UK, as I'm in the US. But I went from practitioner to practitioner until I found one (actually a dietitian) willing to do allergy testing. I believe this has helped me tremendously, and is the last piece in my IBS puzzle. I wound up paying out of pocket (which was well worth it), but needed a medical professional's signature in order to get the blood drawn.
