If you on the bland diet and still feeling gassy, I'd try substituting the wheat products for another grain - rice, oats, amaranth, millet, quinoa. Wheat flour, even the white stuff, makes a lot of people bloated, including non-IBSers like your wife. I haven't eaten it for years.
