Soribitol is a nearly undigestable sugar alcohol. It is sometimes used as a laxative where it acts by drawing water into the colon. It occurs naturally in stone fruit (e.g. plums, nectarines, peaches, apricots). Soribitol and fructose are triggers which Heather discusses in this newsletter.
