I just returned from backpacking and camp several times a year. I am beginning a book on backcountry cooking. If you want some pointers on camping with IBS and eating gourmet while camping just email me. Even if you don't have a dehydrator there are many options that don't require a cooler. I doubt you can find RTE meals that are safe. I do know a place where you can buy safe dehydrated soups that are really good. I met the lady at a fair but she sells online too and uses no icky stuff like MSG.
