I love RachelT's Almond Chicken Salad and it can also serve as a main dish for you. (I make it with canned chicken - much quicker.) Another pasta salad that's incredibly easy, very yummy, and - again - can be a main dish thing is Shell's Crunchy Tuna Pasta Salad. For a straight side-dish pasta salad, I like AtomicRose's Tomato Pasta Salad. Be aware it's a lot of IF mostly in the form of tomatoes. You could also try AtomicRoses's Mom's Potato Salad. I like my variation on this best. Be sure to bring along some pretzels, good bread, stuff like that to give yourself something to nibble on. Fen, I had to laugh at your putting bell peppers in your salad but not tomatoes. I'm just the opposite - I do fine with tomatoes but I still don't do all that well with raw bell peppers. HTH.
