Hello, my name is Faye. I'm a 27 year old who lives in Vegas. I can't seem to get an answer to this question, so I figure I'll post it here. Dr. Pimentel says he thinks most of IBS comes from a bacterial infection in the small intestine. Long story short he says you need to limit your sugar to under 40 grams per day, and eat high protein to starve out bacteria. This makes sense in my head, but when I eat this way I have painful symptoms. So what gives? Any feedback would be great. I love eating Heather's way, I just don't wanna feed bacteria. So I don't know whats right and whats wrong. Thanks for any info you send my way.
