a pre-diagnosis. Like, if staying off lactose and taking probiotics and fiber works then you don't have to be tested for IBS. Most doctors will take you off dairy when you mention digestive problems as a first step and with further problems go ahead and give you more tests to see if you have IBS. Make sure to be proactive and journal your results and do what is recommended then if you still have problems your doctor can proceed if necessary. Good luck!
