Both of those products contain probiotics. However, the DA for constipation also contains a SF call Konjac glucomannan and the DA for lactose intolerance also contains lactase to help with the digestion of lactose. It is possible that it can take a few days to get use to both probiotics and the SF. However, it could also be something that you ate.

Did you GI doc say you only had lactose intolerance or IBS with lactose intolerance? The later is quite common.
