I see what you are saying. I sometimes have a hard time not overeating and especially after hard exercise I feel like I want to binge. Drinking fennel tea before eating definitely helps and eating as slowly as possible. I do crossword puzzles while I eat lunch and this slows me down some. Then the fullness gauge will trigger and I can stop eating. Although sometimes I have no problem at all with it. And it does seem like something to get used to. Your gut wants the amount of food it is used to but if it gets used to less it would be fine with that.

IBS-A for 20 years with terrible bloating and gas. On the diet since April 2004. Remember this from Heather's information pages:
"You absolutely must eat insoluble fiber foods, and as much as safely possible, but within the IBS dietary guidelines. Treat insoluble fiber foods with suitable caution, and you'll be able to enjoy a wide variety of them, in very healthy quantities, without problem." Please eat IF foods!
