I understand too. My hubby has been very supportive for the past 3 years of my IBS change. I don't usually make two meals for him and I. I use ground turkey for meatloaf, chili, spaghetti, egg rolls and other ground meat recipes. I make two small lasagna's one from here for me and the other for him and the kids. It is the same amount of work. Every once in a while I will eat a 1/2 of a very lean pork chop while making them for him. If we have ham. I buy regular ham slices for him and I take a turkey ham cut it into slices and freeze them individually. There is a really good and safe recipe on here for scalloped potaotes that I also make. Hubby loves it. On pizza nights he makes his frozen pizza and I make an Amy's soy cheese one or if we order out I get a cheese less one from our local pizzeria. As far a hamburgers and hot dogs. I buy Ball Park turkey dogs and regular ones for him, and frozen hamburgers and Jenni O frozen turkey burgers. Plus Alexia or Cascade Farms makes great low fat frozen fries. I don't have the luxury of making alot of homemade things because I work full time and have two little ones. But I do alot of improvising to help me through. Hope that helps you a bit!!
