They help me a lot, but you have to know how to take them. My doctor taught me how to use them and so now I get quite a bit of help from them when I am going through times when the IBS acts up. She gave me Levsin and Donnatal and told me to see which one worked best - Levsin 12hr extend tabs work the best and I only take a half of one. The Donnatal is 8 hrs and doesn't work quite as well if I'm really hurting. I don't take them on a regular basis, just when needed.
