I believe it is more than the fat. The 'fibers' for lack of a better word are hard to digest and cause even normal people to be C and have indigestion etc.

There will always be some trick food claimed to cause weight loss. Yesterday I looked over an article in Woman's Day on how to lose 1.5 pounds per week and it was eating cream, cheese, bacon, egg yolks etc! They had some theory about the fat containing something that caused weight loss. Whatever!

--------------------
IBS-A for 20 years with terrible bloating and gas. On the diet since April 2004. Remember this from Heather's information pages:
"You absolutely must eat insoluble fiber foods, and as much as safely possible, but within the IBS dietary guidelines. Treat insoluble fiber foods with suitable caution, and you'll be able to enjoy a wide variety of them, in very healthy quantities, without problem." Please eat IF foods!
