Colonoscopy or Symoidoscopy?       12/17/03 01:52 PM Edit Reply Quote Bevvy Reged: 11/04/03 Posts: 5918 Loc: Northwest Washington State Gail, are you sure it was a colonoscopy that you had? Or was it a sygmoidoscopy? I'm amazed that they would do a colonoscopy on anyone without some form of anesthesia. I am SOOOOO sorry for you -- and for everyone whose stories are posted here. I'm grateful that mine was such a piece of cake -- actually a pleasurable experience -- and now there's "virtual colonoscopy" (see Heather's Dec. newsletter, just out). Just think -- when we're all dead and gone, there'll be some kind of pill that'll take away ALL IBS symptoms instantly, and everyone will look back and say, "remember when . . . . . .
