question on attacks/trigger foods

With me, I usually get an attack 24 hours after eating something I shouldn't. For example: Friday night around 6:30 I ate about 1/2 cup of GASP ice cream......I knew better but blame it on temptation, pms whatever. I woke up the next morning had a regular bm and was fine until 4pm - I paid very painfully for that ice cream, I swear I'll never touch it again! This always happens when I get an attack..why does it take so long to "work itself out"?
