Sadly I speak no Russian and my sister ended up with grandmother's recipe box. Although my grandmother was born in Kiev her parents arrived in the states when she was very young. I do have school papers of my great grandfather that I've had translated. They're kind of neat.

I remember my grandmother coming for the holidays and cooking all day long!

I will try the Ukrainian salad that you posted though!!
