Irritable Bowel Syndrome Message Boards | IBS Nausea Continues.....

My IBS/stomach problems have gotten worse over the last few weeks and my gastro told me that IBS is sort of chronic but waxes and wanes......ive been trying so hard to face my panic/anxiety BUT the IBS screws it all up./......im sitting here at work completely NAUSEOUS and cramping......i asked the doc about the nausea since ive had it for 10 days and he strongly believes its IBS related not panic/anxiety based on my history(and was told that people can faint from stomach flu stuff - just what i need another variable to help me faint which i already do with panic)......feeling like ive had a stomach flu on and off for 3 months now is just too much...and it feeds panic attacks......a few of my collegues had stomach viruses / food poisoning a few weeks ago and it lasted 48 hours and they said...IT WAS HELL...i was like, welcome to my world and its 3 months.......I cant get the panic under control with IBS.....this is all new to me - ie having another illness with panic..........last night i went to work christmas party with 1000 people, loud music, food.......i stayed 3 hours and left.......came home NAUSEOUS. and didnt eat much and drank selzer....so, im doing things but it doesnt help........i have 2 HUGE family dinners coming up on MOn/Tue and not sure i want to go......i cant face the food and they are 8 hours long......i just want to stay home for christmas alone in my apt........unfortunately, my mom and me are hosting christmas day.....at my moms house..
