Re: Prenatal vitamins and constipation       12/19/07 03:57 PM Edit Reply Quote Lisa Marie Reged: 07/17/06 Posts: 1566 Loc: Lakewood, CO I'm currently TTC, and I spoke with my OBGYN about prenatals months before we started trying. Once she looked at the generic once-daily vitamins I was taking, she said they were fine and had all the necessary "stuff". So, don't assume you NEED to take a prenatal. She didn't want to switch me since the vitamins I'm taking agree with me and my IBS. The only thing I added was a small folic acid supplement, which I didn't really need.
