Re: Food Not the Issue?       12/18/07 11:12 AM Edit Reply Quote Mhillqt Reged: 10/06/07 Posts: 174 My gastro didnt limit my diet at all and didnt identify trigger foods...ive been doing this on my own...he mentioned that most of his patients think its food related but all studies point mostly to a mindgut thing....only thing he told me to avoid is salads since on 2 occassions they caused explosive d.....he flet that if i thought it was food related he would have his nutrionist speak to me...he is openminded but just relaying facts from studies that he has seen.... I think its a combo of both stress and food.......probably some food thing in the beginning and then the mind takes over......i often wonder if i didnt pay attention(ie went to get all these tests and came to this website and others checking on ibs) to those 2 major episodes of explosive d in sep 2007 if it would have just gone away....who knows...
