For those who think their IBS will be cured by finding the magic number of things not to eat and worriedly suspecting everything they ate when having an attack, do this: Eat the same exact thing several days in a row and notice how your symptoms will vary day by day. I ate the same thing today and yesterday but have much worse bloating and pain today. I would be a wreck if I tried to figure out what food did it. It is much more likely that I sat more today and possibly had more stress/irritation and didn't sleep that great.
-------------------- IBS-A for 20 years with terrible bloating and gas. On the diet since April 2004. Remember this from Heather's information pages:
"You absolutely must eat insoluble fiber foods, and as much as safely possible, but within the IBS dietary guidelines. Treat insoluble fiber foods with suitable caution, and you'll be able to enjoy a wide variety of them, in very healthy quantities, without problem." Please eat IF foods!
