Hi Amy, I had hemorrhoids something terrible way back in 1978, when my brother told me he go rid of his hemorrhoids by using "Wet Ones" whenever he went to the bathroom. I tried them, but they didn't seem to help much, so I used "Preparation H" along with the "Wet Ones." After awhile, the combination of both shrunk the hemorrhoids down sufficiently that they never bothered me UNLESS I stopped using the "Wet Ones" every time I went to the bathroom. I did not have the surgery to remove them because they weren't that big (just painful). I can say to this day I'm rid of them -- BUT I still use wipes every single time I go to the bathroom, only now I use "Always" wipes instead -- they're made for women only and you buy them where you buy tampons. By the way, my husband has since developed hemorrhoids and also has begun using "Preparation H" wipes and is using cream as well to shrink them. He said he found "Anusol HC-1" cream works better than the "Preparation H" cream; you can buy it over-the-counter at Safeway. He said he's feeling a lot better since he began the Anusol and REGULAR use of the Preparation H wipes. Try them! Bev.
