Since the sonogram shows something that leads the docs to think your problems are bowel-related *and* you've got a new symptom which is why you got the sonogram in the first place, I would definitely want to see at least a family doctor and preferably a GI guy to get an explanation of what that something is. I don't know enough to say for sure what can be seen on a sonogram but I imagine you could have a kink or a diverticulitis pouch or maybe an appendix or gall bladder that looks wonky.

If you don't have a GI guy or don't like the one you do have, there's a thread you can look through and see if any docs in your area are listed:

If you trust your family doctor, he should be able to refer you to a GI guy.

I'd definitely mention this to the GI guy but wouldn't worry too much about it. For me, a serious D attack can totally empty my system and it can take up to 72 hours before there's enough food in the system to trigger another BM.
