You'll want to cut out all dairy so you won't need to take the pills. There are lots of alternatives for dairy. I personally love rice milk and there are vegan/rice cheeses out there as well. A little adjustment to the taste, but if you cut out the real stuff and wait a few weeks, your tastebuds will adjust.
