I'm the same. I bought what is called a "cooldana" from a local outdoors store. It is a bandana material sewn so there is a pocket in the back which holds gel crystals. You soak the bandana in water (I leave mine in the fridge overnight) and wear it around your neck when you are out in the heat. It lasts about 4 hours. Then you can refresh it with cold water and carry on. I had to wear mine at work this summer when the a/c died and it reached 96F in the office for 3 weeks straight. I'm not used to nor can I handle the heat. I'm a northerner - I'm used to -40F, not plus 100!

Good luck!
