OH. You poor thing to have to endure that torture. I completely understand b/c I have taken many a trip to the boardwalk and forgone sausage and peppers, pizza, the scrumptious funnel cakes, and ice cream. It sounds like your guy doesn't completly understand what you're going through b/c if he did he would see how inconsiderate he is being. It is quite impossible to avoid ALL the time, but at least he can try to limit your exposure. I myself am terrible with willpower when something is in front of me so I'm best to not go at all to a tempting place. I hate holiday parties when sometimes there's virtually NOTHING safe (eggplant rolatine, pasta w/ cream sauce, fresh mozzarella, alcohol...the list goes on).
Can you bring a delicious substitue with you when you guys go out? (for example, an IBS chocolate dessert to eat at the ice cream parlor) I know it's not the same, but it's better than watching and salivating as I would do too
As far as your reactions to it, you're entitled to be "mad" and resentful once in a while, just try to make sure your optimism outweighs those feelings. Hang in there.
