What's a normal BM for IBS-Ds?       08/29/07 03:16 PM Edit Reply Quote Digby Reged: 07/31/04 Posts: 453 I'm so frustrated. I've been following the diet for several weeks and my BMs are still mushy. I'm also quite gassy. I take 2 tsp of Acacia three times a day, and started to increase my afternoon dose by 1/2 teaspoon, up to 3 tsp now (after a couple of weeks of increasing it.) I wonder, perhaps the acacia is a problem for me. Metamucil was too grinding. Any thoughts? And what's normal in terms of BMs for you stable D-ers?
